Business Frustrations = Business Breakthroughs

How can frustration equal a breakthrough for your business? We all have days when we feel frustrated. You know, those days when you’re in the middle of an important project, and you realize that it’s not going to work out the way you had hoped. Days when there’s a deadline looming over your head, and you’ve got no idea how to get things done on time.

What if I told you THAT frustration has a purpose in your business success?

What if I told you that the only way to see huge growth and results in your business is to become frustrated?

Here’s the thing…

I'm not talking about the frustration you feel when someone cuts you off on the freeway. Or when you run out of coffee creamer or toilet paper at home (been there and done THAT). Although, I’m sure that’s frustrating as well, I mean real business frustration…the kind that makes your heartbeat faster and feels like it is about to explode right out of your chest. The kind that makes you want to scream, cry and vent.

The kind of frustration that leads to breakthroughs. This is the kind of frustration we’re talking about here.

So, why the heck would you want to become more frustrated in your business? How does THAT make any sense?? Well, because without frustration, there can be no breakthroughs. Without frustration, we’ll never push ourselves past what's comfortable so that we can see the growth and results that are possible…that have always been possible. You must get frustrated enough to make it happen for yourself.

Because ALL success lies on the OTHER side of comfort.

What’s important to realize about frustration, and the reason you feel it, is that it doesn't matter what industry you’re in or what business you run. You WILL experience it and if you don't prepare for it and handle it correctly, it can ruin your company culture as well as lead to other problems.

Here Are 7 Principles on How To Turn Frustration Into An Opportunity For Growth.

1. Stop and Listen to Your Frustration

You won't understand what your "frustration" is attempting to communicate to you if you don't make the effort to listen!

Frustration is a negative feeling that signifies the need for change in our lives. When people don't achieve their goals or expectations, such as spending another week at their dead-end job, they get frustrated. Don't ignore it and try to push the frustration away; if you do, the frustration will build until it boils over!

2. Find the Root of The Problem

Sometimes people are frustrated at themselves for being unable to meet their goals. They feel as if they’re not able to do anything right or even worse… that they are useless. If this sounds familiar, the root of the problem might be that your expectations for yourself and what's realistic are not lining up. It takes time and practice/patience to reach your goals, so give yourself a break.

3. Find Something Positive About the Situation

Even if it’s as simple as "at least I broke out of my normal routine," you must find something great about the situation. Once you’ve done this, decide what’s most important to you and start with that. One of the most impactful practices I perform, on an ongoing basis, is asking myself the question: “What’s the opportunity here right now?”

It's not always easy to do this, especially if the frustration is massive or overwhelming, but it is necessary for growth.

4. Shift Your Thinking from Negative To Positive

Even if you don't feel like it, try to imagine the situation from a different perspective.

What would it look like if everything went perfectly? Is there anything you can do today that will move you towards your goal? What can be learned from this experience? All these questions can and WILL help you "shift" your thoughts from negative to positive. See the outcome you want and go and do or practice THAT!

5. Change The Story You Tell Yourself About Your Frustration

Instead of thinking "I am a failure," try to think "This challenge will make me stronger in the end, so I can overcome it." It might not feel true right now, but if you keep telling yourself this over and over, it will eventually become the new truth. The story you tell yourself is the story of your life, so go ahead and make it an outstanding one!

6. Create an Action Plan

These are your steps to overcome the challenge you are having! If you had a clear path of what it would take to overcome your challenge, would you feel differently? It's important to break down tasks into doable chunks when creating this plan--you don't want to make yourself feel more overwhelmed than you already do! 7. Take A Break from What's Causing Your Frustrations

If you know that there’s something specific that brings up negative feelings for you, then take a step back from it / them until you can come at it with a fresh mind and new perspective. Not only will this help you minimize the frustration over time; it will allow you to build a stronger relationship with what has been frustrating you.

Frustration is a powerful emotion that can be harnessed to drive change and growth in your business. Without using these emotions as an opportunity for improvement, you might find yourself stagnant with little or no progress being made towards success!

What I’ve discovered is that there are simple ways to use this frustration constructively so that you can deal with it in the moment and move quickly through to the next thing. I've also discovered that when you do this, suddenly there are kaleidoscopic shifts in your business… creating HUGE breakthroughs.

I don't know if it’s divine intervention or life itself that conspires to frustrate us… that we may never know but know this: frustration IS a sign that a breakthrough is imminent. If you can stay with it, if you can work through the frustration, something magical happens on the other side that was never possible before.

A true breakthrough in your business will set you on a new path to success. Once this shift has occurred, there's no going back to the old way of doing things.

So, don't be afraid of the frustration that’s coming into your life and your business right now because it doesn't mean that things are going bad…it means that things are about to get better than you have ever imagined.

It's time to take back your life from frustration. Use the power of frustration as an opportunity for empowerment to push through it. Don't put it off any longer; don't waste another day on feeling frustrated when there's a breakthrough right around the corner.

With these skills, you will give yourself a major unfair advantage in the war against frustration. Set and achieve ANY outcome you desire in your life and business and when you do…you will be unstoppable.
